Opened in 1969, the popular Centre has a large hall, fully equipped stage and bars, three rooms for group activities and two smaller meeting rooms. With a good-sized kitchen and ample toilets, all needs are catered for. Panto starts the year, plays are performed and recently tribute bands have entertained as well as monthly Music & Arts and Film Club. Many groups, covering all interests and activities meet weekly or monthly and there are events throughout the year. A group also organizes fund-raising events, eg quizzes, Ceilidh etc.
The Centre is a charity and run by a Management Group of Volunteers, ably assisted by part-time staff. No funding is received and all income is dependent on room bookings. However, there is a shortage of new volunteers and help is needed with various aspects, ie IT, publicity/ marketing, maintenance and fund-raising. Could you get involved and help keep this fantastic Frodsham facility open for all to use? You could become a member for a £5.00 one-off payment to receive a monthly newsletter or join the monthly 200 Club draw.
