Frodsham in Pink – the campaign in support of the Prevent Breast Cancer charity

Paint it PinkThe Find it in Frodsham initiative encouraged local businesses to decorate shop windows, create pink themed products and host fundraising events throughout June.

The month featured a packed programme, from Dandelion’s family –friendly Jellycat trail to Devonshire Bakery’s pink iced buns. One of many notable events was Dory’s Café’s charity dog walk.

Frodsham Sings Community Choir

Frodsham SingsThere are many choirs around, but inclusion and friendship goes hand in hand with the joy of singing contemporary songs at Frodsham Sings.

There is a wealth of evidence that singing is good for emotional wellbeing. Research shows that when people sing, the brain releases endorphins and oxytocin which in turn lowers stress and anxiety levels.

Local heroes win national award

Bee CreativeBee Creatives at Bee Friends has won the Warmest Welcome Award at the first ever Warm Welcome Awards held on 17th June 2026.

The Warm Welcome Campaign is a network of more than 6,300 Warm Welcome Spaces that offer places of belonging and reconnection across the country, particularly for those struggling with loneliness or the cost of living.

Brave Bird Escapes Burglars

BridsBank Holidays are a time for fun, but some people have different ideas. Chris Hyland’s company iRestored in Church Street was burgled in the early hours of the Spring Bank Holiday Monday with intruders breaking through the rear entrance. As well as extensive damage, much of the company’s stock was stolen, although Chris reassures his customers that all items left with him for repair are safe.

Congratulations to Castle Park Arts Centre

CPACCastle Park Arts Centre celebrated its 40th anniversary with a free exhibition in the centre between 30th June and 8th August 2026, highlighting its achievements and telling the story of the artist community coming together to create an Arts Centre in a heritage building.

The exhibition was designed to stir memories, recognise contributions, tell stories and celebrate Frodsham's hidden treasure.
