A near fatal accident forced a change of direction in career for Lauren and Sandstone was born when she opened in February 2025. Her aim was to create a community space where locals and visitors could socialise whilst they ate, “A space to make friends” she says.
Since then her ideas have developed and she has extended her vision of community to collaboration with other local businesses. Outside catering for individuals as well as in house food and drink is still a big part of her business, but her aim is to be a bigger part of Frodsham’s growing community enterprise.
Lauren provides the weekend afternoon teas at The Curious Cat bookshop as well as food for their supper clubs. A satisfied customer recommended her to a Director of The Daniel Adamson “The Danny” and she now provides picnic boxes on cruises as part of a ticket deal for 11 cruises this season. Other local businesses such as The Health Centre and a local Solicitor have utilised her help for their own events.
There are several initiatives in town encouraging collaboration between businesses and Lauren is determined that Sandstone be part of these.
