After last year’s free community event in Castle Park, the Food and Drink Festival came back bigger and with a huge variety of cuisines from Africa, Asia and Europe from pies, pasties, pizza and pastries to wine and beers, hog roast, Gelato and Cheshire Cheeses – and so much more.
The Artisan market was in full swing with jewellery, art work, plants and many crafts. If you noticed the town had turned pink, there was also a pink stall for the charity Prevent Breast Cancer.
This year, the exhibition tent saw demonstrations from Devonshire Bakery, Enchanted Forage, Dad’s Kitchen and Garden, cocktail making from Zucca and surf and turf taster from Restaurant Next Door. There was also a “Man v Food Challenge” from HE Coward.
Punch and Judy delighted children and adults alike and there were children’s bumper cars. The sun came out and with locals and visitors there was a tangible feeling of community – something that makes Frodsham so special. Thanks go to Frodsham Town Council and volunteers for this fantastic festival. Top: Rik from Restaurant Next Door preparing to create surf and turf.
