When Reverend Elaine Atack retired as vicar, she left a parish that has and will continue to change. There was a big turnout for her last service on 31st May with presentations of gifts and cake. The flower team produced beautiful displays and the bell ringers rang a special peal.
During her 6 years in Frodsham she and her husband, Reverend Phil became well known in the town. Her many achievements include her work with children, both within and outside of the church. She worked closely with Frodsham CE Primary School, introduced Toddler Praise on a Wednesday morning and ran a monthly Messy Church.
She lead the parish’s Parochial Church Council focusing on sensitively improving the church building to make it even more welcoming for its visitors and was involved in the Vision 2031 project including some ambitious plans for Frodsham’s only Grade I listed building such as creating level access and repurposing the area below the bell tower with more ideas to follow over the coming months. She will be greatly missed in the parish but her legacy will continue Photo: Frodsham Academy through these projects and groups.
